La spedizione Papua 2017 è rientrata da pochi giorni ma tra gli zaini da smontare e i rilievi da disegnare già si progetta il prossimo futuro... Quaranta giorni non sono bastati per avere ragione di luoghi e grotte semplicemente incredibili. I chilometri esplorati sono tanti, ma quelli che aspettano sono ancora di più! I fronti esplorativi piuttosto che chiudersi si aprono con prospettive nuove e inaspettate, fiumi giganteschi, ma forse anche grotte con potenziali verticali veramente notevoli...ovviamente sempre con tanta acqua e magari neanche così calda. A conti fatti ci sarà veramente di che divertirsi e immaginare tecniche, soluzioni e diavolerie di ogni genere.

In 1872, Odoardo Beccari and Luigi Maria D'Albertis were the first naturalists to bring back information about the interior of New Guinea. They travelled and mapped the Arfak Mountains and the valley of the Samson River. In the valley of the Samson in 1873 Odoardo Beccari, arrived close the karst area of the Aouk-Kladuk river. He described his mouth in the sea and the karst hills in the gulf of Samei. With great pleasure, we have dedicate to their memory this wonderful gallery, that we have explored in the cave of Aouk Underground River.
